This song was originally written in Los Angeles during our first tour in 2008. We were preparing for our performance at Show Cave night gallery and we had the pleasure to meet the owner, Eric Nordhauser. We spent the day at Show Cave recording and writing with Eric, Keenan and Hazel of Show Cave fame. Eric had a Sequential Circuts Prophet 5 and a Korg Electribe that we used to make this track, the housey sequence was already programmed in his sequencer. Kristy wrote the lyrics on the spot and it was all live, all 8 minutes of it. We recorded the audio with a VHS camera mic that was set up in the back of the gallery. That was the version that appeared on our ‘Disaro’ release of 2010.This newer, cleaner version is produced by Strange Powers. We are planning to release this as our first solo 7″.
This new clean studio version was produced by our friend in Denver, Strange Powers. We really like the way this studio version of In Your Eyes sounds and we have started a kickstarter to cover most of the cost of having the track mastered for vinyl and to produce 200 copies of a 7″.
